I struck a deal last night with one of Eminem's cohorts, King Gordy, to have full usage to one of his songs for use in the opening and closing of Howling Moon. I never would've dreamed I'd be using a rap song in this film, especially in a werewolf tale, but that looks like it's going to be the case given my recent decision to amp up the opening intro with a rather wickedly gleeful visual montage that should really get people worked up.

Great news! As of 3:00 AM last night Howling Moon is officially in rough-edit form. Tonight I do preliminary audio clean-up and add filters to shots that I missed earlier. Given the time I'll also lay in temp music tonight, before having a few watch-throughs tomorrow and Thursday to glean what may be too much or not enough. Fortunately Colleen Miller will be in town the next few days, and can be on-hand in the event we need a few new bridging lines or insert shots.

Within roughly the next week we'll be ready to send the whole reel off to Cinnafilm for the film-look process!
